What is The Friends?
For almost 30 years, The Friends of the Library has served as the fundraising arm of the Rice Lake Public Library, providing financial support for its programs and services. The Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a close connection between the Rice Lake Public Library and the community by supporting and promoting the library’s programs, services, and resources.

The Friends Board
The Friends Membership and Board of Directors The Friends of the Library Board meets publicly the first Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. at the Rice Lake Public Library. All interested members and Library patrons are welcome. Check the Library bulletin board for any changes in the meeting schedule. The goals of the Friends of the Library are:
To foster a closer relationship between the library and the citizens in the Rice Lake area.
To promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services, and needs of the library.
To lead in the development of a program for the extension and improvement of library services and resources.
To aid in the provision of adequate facilities for the library.
To attract bequests and gifts of books, money, or other appropriate materials beyond the resources of the library budget.
To enable supporters of the library to become acquainted with and share their enthusiasm for the library and its mission.
