“May the odds be ever in your favor!”
At this moment, the Hunger Games countdown widget says there is exactly 2 days, 9 hours, and 50 minutes until The Hunger Movie Release!!!!
Make sure you’ve turned in your permission slip to the youth desk for our party on Friday. We will be meeting at the library at 4:45 for games and food before we climb on the school bus and head to the movie theatre. Come! This is a totally major event, and we need to be there together! Katniss and Peeta need us! Plus, I’m gonna need about 50 shoulders to cry on when Rue dies.

EPIC FAIL
So, teens of Rice Lake, that was a total failure on completing my Internet Scavenger Hunt for Teen Tech Week. Not a single one of you turned one in. Boo:( $20 Game Stop Gift Certificate goes to no one. I’ll keep it as a prize for summer reading, I guess!
Make sure to let me know what kinds of activities you’d like for Teen Tech Week, or any other event for that matter.

National Gaming Day 2011
If you haven't heard already, the library has just added a brand new XBox 360 Kinect to our gaming collection! Yes, you heard right! I know it's hard to believe the library can be so cool, but let's face it, we are.
It made it's debut on National Gaming Day, November 12th. We put it together and played all day.
We will have a collection that you can check out and take home, but it isn't through processing quite yet, so we're hoping by the end of December-ish it will be ready to go! Meanwhile, come on over to the library and play our in-house games. We've got:
The Michael Jackson Experience
Twister Mania
Plants vs. Zombies (will someone pleeease come play this one!? No one has checked it out yet, and I'm dying to see it!)
Madded NFL 12
create
Cabela's Adventure Camp
Kinect Adventures
Kinect Sports Season 2
I'll leave you some more pictures of what we did on gaming day, so you'll remember to come next year:)
That's right, we rocked it old style too, with some Bingo.
