Each Thursday after school, the library will host a different program for kids in grades Kindergarten and up. Children are invited to come straight from school (they can even ride school bus 28 to get here–click here to download the permission slip) and enjoy fun, educational activities.
Lego Club will happen the first Thursday of each month. The group will be split between children ages 7 and up and those 6 and under. Each group will create themed projects that will be displayed in our children's area.
Reader's Theater will happen the second Thursday of each month and will allow children to act out plays, without having to memorize! Each participant is given a script and they read their lines while acting out the scene.
Art Smart is a fun opportunity to learn about a different artist each month and create a piece of art in that person's style. In September, learn about Georges Seurat and pointalism!
Simple Science will take place on the fourth Thursday of each month and will allow kids to try interesting science experiments at the library!
If a month should happen to have 5 Thursdays, kids can come down to the library on the last one for fun literacy based board games.
